1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

2. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Horavita's services, submitting a timepiece for service, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all clients, whether service is arranged in person at our atelier, through email correspondence, or via our website contact forms.

3. Service Description

Horavita provides professional watch repair and servicing, including:

Service availability depends on the specific timepiece, parts availability, and our current workload. We reserve the right to decline service on any timepiece if we determine we cannot provide appropriate care.

4. Service Agreement and Estimates

4.1 Initial Assessment

When you submit a timepiece for service, we provide an initial assessment and estimate. This estimate is based on our preliminary inspection and may change if additional issues are discovered during service.

4.2 Authorization

We will not proceed with work beyond the initial estimate without your explicit authorization. If additional repairs are needed, we will contact you to discuss options and obtain approval before proceeding.

4.3 Service Timelines

Estimated completion times are provided in good faith but are not firm commitments. Actual turnaround may vary due to parts availability, complexity of repairs, or unforeseen issues. We will keep you informed of any significant delays.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Pricing

Service prices are quoted in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$). Prices include standard labor and common service parts but may not include specialized components requiring sourcing.

5.2 Payment Methods

We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit cards. Payment is due upon completion of service before the timepiece is released to you.

5.3 Parts and Materials

Replacement parts are charged separately when they exceed standard service components. We use manufacturer-approved parts whenever possible and will inform you of costs before installation.

5.4 Deposit Requirements

For complex services exceeding NT$50,000 or requiring expensive parts ordering, we may require a deposit before commencing work. The deposit amount will be agreed upon in advance.

6. Client Responsibilities

6.1 Accurate Information

You are responsible for providing accurate information about your timepiece, including service history, known issues, and any previous repairs.

6.2 Timely Collection

Timepieces must be collected within 90 days of service completion notification. After this period, storage fees of NT$500 per month may apply. Uncollected timepieces after six months may be disposed of in accordance with Taiwan law.

6.3 Authenticity

You warrant that any timepiece submitted for service is legally owned by you and not counterfeit. We reserve the right to refuse service on suspected counterfeit items.

7. Service Warranty

7.1 Warranty Coverage

We warrant our workmanship for 12 months from service completion. This warranty covers defects in our service work but does not cover:

7.2 Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period with your service documentation. We will assess the issue and provide repair at no charge if covered under warranty.

7.3 Limitation

This warranty is limited to repair or adjustment of the serviced work. It does not include consequential damages, lost profits, or other indirect losses.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 Service Limitations

Mechanical watch repair involves inherent risks. While we exercise utmost care, we cannot guarantee success in every case, particularly with vintage or heavily damaged timepieces.

8.2 Liability Cap

Our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the lesser of: (a) the value of the timepiece as declared by you at time of service, or (b) twice the service fee paid.

8.3 Excluded Damages

We are not liable for:

8.4 Insurance

We carry professional indemnity insurance. For high-value timepieces exceeding NT$500,000, we recommend you maintain separate insurance coverage.

9. Intellectual Property

10. Confidentiality

We treat information about your timepieces and service history as confidential. We do not disclose client information except as required by law or with your explicit consent. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

11. Termination

11.1 Client Termination

You may cancel service before work begins without penalty. If work has commenced, you are responsible for costs incurred up to the cancellation point, plus a reasonable fee for assessment work performed.

11.2 Our Termination Rights

We reserve the right to discontinue service if:

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

If informal resolution fails, we are willing to participate in mediation through a mutually acceptable mediator before resorting to litigation.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any written service agreement and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Horavita regarding our services.
